What are Human Factors?
Why should they matter to you and your patients?
Working alongside Dr Calthorpe, our patient safety lead, the RGUC Media Team have recently completed the design of an infographic poster dealing with human factors and the role they play in patient safety. The poster is displayed in all staff areas around The Dudley Group hospital sites.
This is great to see.. needs to be in every single Trust, GP and dental practice - anywhere where we see and treat patients.. https://t.co/S0yFDdBUyW

In addition to the poster, the team have also produced ‘Human factors and non-technical skills’, a video-based learning resource offering further insight into the issues covered by the poster. From April 2020 this resource will form part of the mandatory training delivered to all clinical staff at The Dudley Group.
Production of these resources was made possible through funding provided by the West Midlands Academic Health Science Network (WMAHSN). We were also shortlisted as part of the 2019 Meridian Awards by WMAHSN for the development of these resources.
We are making the Human Factors and Patient Safety Campaign poster freely available to other hospitals and educational settings for use in staff training and awareness. Should you wish to reproduce the poster, we kindly ask that you include the following statement where the poster is used: Poster reproduced with kind permission from The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust.
A high resolution PDF of the poster can be downloaded by clicking here.
This PDF can be scaled to print from A3 to A1 paper size.
